DRUG TEST FAILURE AT '08 WNBF WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS IN NEW YORK

After winning the South Australian WNBF Championships and Asia Pacific Championships Vivienne Krstic failed the polygraph test at the 2008 WNBF Worlds in New York for testosterone use.

Transdermal testosterone gel is the substance that she used.

Testosterone use is not acceptable in the WNBF under any circumstances. This is stated on the WNBF Banned Substances List.

Because the testosterone use came to light during the polygraph, Vivienne was dismissed from the exam as a positive test for detection of testosterone use.  Therefore, she failed the test and was not allowed to compete in the 2008 WNBF World Championships.

Due to the polygraph failure, Vivienne Krstic is banned from competition within the WNBF or any of their affiliates for seven years from the failure.

As a result of this Vivienne was stripped of her South Australian and Asia Pacific Championship Titles along with prizes that were awarded to her.

Kate Alderman now becomes the overall womens champion in South Australia and Nancy Waites as the Asia Pacific Champion.
